From our libraries to local trader events, to our flagship celebration Carols in Queens Park – there’s something for everyone!
Carols in Queens Park
Head down to Queens Park on Saturday, 7 December from 4.30pm for a magical community event. Hear festive live music, enjoy tasty treats, and see roaming entertainment. There’ll even be a special guest, direct from the North Pole.

Christmas with the Union Road Traders Association
Join us on Union Road on Saturday, December 7, from 11am – 3pm for our Christmas on Union Road event. From live music to fun activities, it’s the perfect way to kick off the season with the whole family and also meet Santa!
Centreway Traders Christmas Carols
Keen to get your carols fix? Head down to the Centreway from 4.30pm-7.30pm on Saturday, 14 December as the local traders host a very festive carols event. Featuring the talented Vocal Studios, there’ll be face painting and of course an appearance from Santa.
Christmas in Niddrie with the Keilor Road Traders
If you’re a Niddrie local, don’t miss the festive activities bought to you by the Keilor Road traders on Saturday, 14 December. There’ll be free Santa photos, Thomas the Tank Engine rides, roving Christmas entertainment and free face painting.
Santa visits with the Moonee Ponds Traders
Enjoy festive activities, take memorable photos, and share your wishes with Santa! Don’t forget to bring your family and friends for a visit filled with joy and laughter. Santa will be roaming around Moonee Ponds 3039 (Pratt St, Puckle St, Margaret St, Mount Alexander Rd, Shuter St, Hall St) See dates and times.

Christmas Storytimes
Moonee Valley Libraries will be holding their final Preschool Storytimes for 2024. Wear your festive shirts and hats and enjoy Christmas themed stories, songs and craft activities – plus a special guest appearance by a famous person in red! No bookings required.
Christmas Crafts
Join the Moonee Valley Libraries for a festive craft program where you’ll create your own holiday decorations to brighten up your home or gift to loved ones! Bookings open two days prior to the event.
