Festive season operating hours 2025
Even a Council needs a little break, but that doesn’t mean all of your favourite facilities will close over the Christmas and Holiday period.
Take a look at the list of the opening hours across the Council.
Civic Centre Customer Service Desk
Customer Service will be closed on all public holidays and shutting at 12pm on Wednesday, 24 December 2025.
Waste and Recycling
Kerbside Garbage and Recycling Bin Collection Services will not be undertaken on Christmas Day, Thursday, 25 December, and New Year's Day, Thursday, 1 January 2026.
On certain public holidays, bins will be picked up one day later than usual.
Please see the below dates for the updated collection schedule:
- Thursday, 25 December will be collected on Friday, 26 December
- Friday, 26 December will be collected on Saturday, 27 December
- Thursday, 1 January will be collected on Friday, 2 January
- Friday, 2 January will be collected on Saturday, 3 January

Incinerator Gallery

The operating hours for the gallery in 2026 will be Wednesday to Saturday 11am-4pm.
The Clocktower Centre
- Closed: Monday, 22 December 2025
- Re-opening: Monday, 5 January 2026
In 2026, the Box Office will be open Monday-Friday 10am–4pm and one hour before most performances. The Clocktower Cafe will be open Monday-Friday 8am–2pm.
Crown St Stables Café
