Free workshops to boost kids’ cycling skills
Published on Wednesday, 5 April 2023

Does your child love to ride but need a few tips on getting the best out of their bike? Cycling is much more fun when you have more confidence and skills!
Council is hosting free 3-hour cycling sessions for 9-12-year-olds every day from Monday 17– Friday 21 April 2023. Children can brush up on cycling basics with other kids in an interactive, fun workshop led by a cycling expert.
The training aims to ensure participants develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to ride their bikes safely in real-world environments applicable to their skill level and experience.
One of Australia’s leaders in cycling tuition – Cycling Safe instructor Steve Taylor will lead the training. Steve holds a Working with Children Check and a First Aid qualification.
The class is open to anyone who lives, plays or learns in Moonee Valley and is limited to 10 participants per workshop. All participants must bring their own bicycle and helmet. Places are filling fast, don’t miss out.
