Neighbourhood Spirit Awards
Do you know someone who makes your neighbourhood a better place? Then tell us about them!
The Moonee Valley Neighbourhood Spirit Awards celebrates those who have contributed to their local community.
We want to recognise people across our city who are making a difference to others – big or small.
You can nominate an individual or community group as long as they:
- Live, work, study or play in Moonee Valley
- Are not a direct relation to a Councillor
- Are not a Moonee Valley City Council staff member or current/former Councillor
Nominations must be submitted online here and be received before Sunday, 9 February 2020 at 5pm.
The Moonee Valley Neighbourhood Spirit Award will be announced at a ceremony on Sunday, 29 March at our Neighbour Day Community Picnic as a part of the Moonee Valley Festival!
Held on Neighbour Day, the picnic is a chance to mark the annual celebration of community, encouraging people to connect with those in their neighbourhood.
So come on down to connect with your community and celebrate your local champions.
Want to run a Neighbour Day Celebration of your own?
To encourage as many people across our city to celebrate Neighbour Day, our Responsive Grants stream is available for community groups and individuals to host an event in their neighbourhood!
