Join us in celebrating International Day for People with a Disability at the Djerring Flemington Hub.
Event information
Join us on Saturday 29 November from 12pm-4pm at the Djerring Flemington Hub as we celebrate diversity and inclusion in our community, and recognising Moonee Valley residents who are living with a disability. This year's theme for IDPWD is 'Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress'.
There’ll be plenty of fun, free and accessible activities happening to explore at the hub, including:
- live performances by Eliza Hull and Leap Into Dance
- hands-on writing workshop with Eliza Hull (registrations are essential as spots are limited)
- interactive Circus Nexus workshop (registrations are essential as spots are limited)
- information stalls to support your access and participation and connect you with services across the Disability sector
- Kai from Kaiko Fidgets sharing a short documentary and answering questions
- and more!
It's a great way to connect with and discover your community while celebrating people of all abilities.

Getting to Djerring Flemington Hub
By car
Djerring Flemington Hub has limited on-site parking available. There is also parking in nearby streets, but please ensure your read street signs and be mindful of residential permit areas.
Public transport
The Hub has excellent public transport access from Melbourne’s CBD. Flemington Bridge Station, a short walk from the Hub is 11 minutes by train from Flinders Street Station. Alternatively, the 59 tram stops directly in front of the The Hub, and is a very short walk to the entry.
Access to the Hub from elsewhere in Melbourne is well served by proximity to the Upfield rail line and tram services.
Walking or cycling
The Moonee Ponds Creek Trail connects to the Capital City Trail offers mostly traffic-free access from Melbourne CBD in 30 minutes. A more direct route via Flemington Road on well-marked bike lanes can take as little as 19 minutes.
