The Central Registration Service (CRS) allows families to submit one registration form for all Council managed long day care centres, rather than applying to each individual service.
The CRS prioritises applications and preferences for all participating long day care centres and allocates places according to an approved set of Priority of Access criteria.
Special circumstances will be considered if one or more criteria may apply to each application. Supporting documents are required to verify eligibility for priority of access. You can read the Priority of Access criteria on the Department of Education website.
To register for Council’s child care services, please complete the Long Day Childcare Application Form (pdf, 363KB). Either type in your details and save the form, or print the form and complete by hand.
Once your form is completed and supporting documents ready, you can return your form by:

Flemington Street Children's Centre
Flemington Street Children’s Centre was opened in 1999. The Centre is a 55-place long day care service with a landscaped outdoor play area.
The service provides children a learning environment that caters for small group interactions and inspiring learning opportunities.
The service's learning program is taken from the National Quality Framework, which is a child-centred learning environment. The child is educated taking into account their knowledge, abilities, ideas, and culture. The program is organised to enhance children’s learning through a routine which exposes them to meaningful interactions with opportunities to solve their own problems.
Children’s learning is enhanced by the service's team of highly qualified and enthusiastic educators. Where possible the children’s learning is helped by external presenters providing resources and opportunities for children to explore ideas further. Sometimes the learning may take place outside of the service through a planned excursion, where children can visit the local community to further enhance their learning.
The team of educators value the relationships with children and their families. This partnership helps the collaboration and supports the development of children as individuals, to be included and to be confident learners.
