Glass drop-off points trial

Council has completed its glass drop-off point trial

Council’s trial of glass drop-off points in selected locations in Moonee Valley concluded on 30 April 2025 and the community survey is now closed.

The Walter Street Reserve and Cliff Allison Park drop-off points will remain in operation for the foreseeable future. The L.T. Thompson Reserve drop-off point has been removed.

The trial feedback and data will help Council prepare for the introduction of the kerbside glass collection service to all Moonee Valley residents. All Councils must provide this service to comply with State Government Regulations.

Council will analyse the data collected during the trial to understand the impact of these drop-off points. Thanks to our community members, we also gathered a good amount of feedback that will help us map out how Council can service residents with different needs.

If you have any feedback that you would like to share with us, please e-mail recycle@mvcc.vic.gov.au
