Glass drop-off points trial

Moonee Valley Council is trialling glass drop-off points in several selected locations.

Council is trialling this drop-off collection service in high density living areas for glass recycling.

Households within approximately 250 meters of a drop-off location (see below details) should use these drop-off points. The glass drop-off points are not intended for use by households outside these areas.

Selected households received a letter from Council in January 2025.

We encourage all residents who receive a letter to use the trial drop-off points for their glass recycling. If you have difficulty accessing these points you can still use your yellow-lid recycling bin. Please submit any feedback on the trial via the survey below.

This trial will help Council prepare for the introduction of the kerbside glass collection service that all Councils must provide to comply with State Government Regulations.

The trial will conclude on 30 April 2025. The glass bins will be removed in May 2025.
