Major milestones achieved in Council Annual Report

In September, Council adopted its 2023/24 Annual Report which highlights significant progress in delivering major city-shaping projects.
We've made important strides toward reducing our carbon footprint, implementing innovative technology and igniting creativity in Moonee Valley.
Key achievements for 2023/24 included:
- reducing our carbon footprint with the rollout of the food and organic waste collection program (FOGO) and Let's Go Zero campaign
- securing more than $20 million in Victorian Government funding to upgrade five of our kindergartens, Montgomery Park, Coronation, Lincolnville, Milleara Gardens and Airport West
- total operating surplus of $8.63m, which is $1.72m above the adopted budget of $6.91m.
