Maribyrnong Road maintenance and renewal works

Yarra Trams, in partnership with the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), is conducting tram replacement works on Maribyrnong Road, between Union Road and Navigator Street.

These works will include a full road closure of Maribyrnong Road, between Union Road and Navigator Street, from 9pm, Friday 28 June to 5am, Monday 15 July 2024, while the old track is excavated and new tram tracks installed.

For the duration of these works, those in the area can expect high levels of noise, detours for traffic, pedestrians and cyclists, and public service changes.

Council waste collection will occur as per your normal schedule. Please place your bins out on
the kerb as per normal. For properties in the works area, your bin will be temporarily
moved to another location for emptying and then returned.

Businesses will remain open, so please continue to support your community and shop local.

Plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys in the area.
