Young families to benefit from a further $300,000 investment in brand-new kindergarten

A $300,000 Victorian Government funding boost for a Moonee Valley kindergarten will give more local families access to world-class early years education facilities.

The additional investment in Montgomery Park Kindergarten, on Hilda Street in Essendon, will provide brand-new furniture, equipment and other essential items in time for opening in Term One, 2025.

The funding is additional to the $20.7 million Building Blocks Partnership, a joint venture between the Victorian Government and the City of Moonee Valley to improve early years infrastructure across the municipality.

Moonee Valley Mayor, Cr Ava Adams, welcomed the funding announcement.

“Early years education is vital for the long-term health and wellbeing of our City’s youngest residents,” Mayor Ava Adams said.

“From January, Moonee Valley families will have access to a brand new, state-of-the-art kindergarten facility at Montgomery Park, which will continue to provide opportunities for learning and connection long into the future.

“We thank the Victorian Government for their continued investment in children and families across our municipality.”
