Media release: Eskimo Joe to headline Twilight Festival

Eskimo Joe - Twilight Festival

Eskimo Joe to headline Twilight Festival as Moonee Valley’s bumper festival season continues this summer

Australia’s beloved alt-rock power trio Eskimo Joe will have audiences up on their feet as they headline Moonee Valley City Council’s much-loved free Lincoln Park Twilight Festival, which returns on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

A destination live-music event for the west, Twilight Festival is set to rock as Eskimo Joe celebrates twenty years of their award-winning album Black Fingernails, Red Wine, while also performing their recent singles. They will be joined by rising alt pop-rock group Joan & the Giants, fresh off their Australian tours supporting Pink and The Fray! Plus, crowd favourite DJ Be Kind to Other People will return, hitting the decks to get the party started. Local emerging pop singer Ken Shing rounds out the lineup with his upbeat tunes. The event will be hosted by popular radio and television personality Zan Rowe, who has a local connection to Moonee Valley.

There will be plenty on offer for the whole family, including children’s activities, roaming activations, entertainment, food, and more.  Essendon is set to light up for this free concert where festival-goers can grab their friends and family, pack a picnic or indulge in a great selection of local food trucks, while sitting back and enjoying a free evening concert.

Lincoln Park Twilight Festival is one of Moonee Valley City Council’s most loved events and has previously attracted big names like Sneaky Sound System and The Rogue Traders. It is one of Council’s biggest festivals for the calendar year, alongside Moonee Valley Festival, which will return to the iconic Queens Park on Sunday, 15 March, with multiple stages for a stellar live music line-up for all-ages. These huge events will follow the much-loved Mediterranean Fiesta which returns on Sunday, 15 February, where community spirit comes together at Centreway. Expect music, dancing, and the chance to sample the region’s flavours from local businesses.

Mayor Dr Rose Iser said: “We’re set for some world-class acts this festival season, especially at our Twilight event on 28 February.”

“Our community festivals offer music, food, fun and friends – everyone’s invited to join these fabulous events.”
