Only the driver(s) named shall drive the vehicle. They must hold a current full Victorian drivers’ licence. (The bus has 12 seats, including the driver and does not require endorsed licence).

The hirer will be responsible for any traffic infringement notices or fines incurred during the period of hire. It is the responsibility of the hirer to organise the purchase of a day pass for travel on City Link.

Moonee Valley City Council (MVCC) takes no responsibility for the loss or damage to personal property incurred during the period of use. MVCC takes no responsibility for any physical injury caused to a person during the period of use. Where applicable Public Liability insurance is the responsibility of the hirer.

In the event of an accident where the bus is not driveable, the bus must be returned to the MVCC Depot (188 Holmes Road, Moonee Ponds). After hours telephone number is 9243 8888.

Costs of towing will be the responsibility of the hiring organisation. Details of any accident/incident must be reported to MVCC at the earliest opportunity and an accident/incident report must be completed by the driver.

In case of an accident a $500.00 excess will be incurred by the driver and is payable to the MVCC. Please note that an additional $500.00 excess will be incurred in respect of drivers who are under the age of 25.

There is to be no smoking or consumption of illicit drugs or alcohol on MVCC buses. The vehicle is to be returned in a clean and tidy state at the agreed time. The bus is to be refuelled on return with the petrol used being replaced by the hirer. Unleaded fuel only.

Cleaning and refuelling the bus is the responsibility of the hiring organisation and failure to do so will result in the hirer will be invoiced for the cost incurred by Council for the cleaning and or refuelling.

There is first aid kit inside the bus. The cost of these items will be invoiced for the cost if they go missing during the bus hire times.

The distance travelled must be within the Victorian boarder and mileage (start & end) is to be recorded on driver checklist form

All nominated drivers have read and fully understand the Moonee Valley City Council Community Bus Conditions of Use and accept the terms and conditions of this agreement which we acknowledge as binding upon us and the organisation I represent.
