More chances to visit The Playground Project Melbourne these school holidays

Kids explore 'Round Table' playground, by Emily Floyd and Mary Featherston AM

The Playground Project Melbourne is the perfect family activity these school holidays – and we’re throwing open the doors at Incinerator Gallery for longer so more visitors can enjoy this blockbuster exhibition.

Thousands of art design and design lovers have already visited the acclaimed The Playground Project on its first foray outside the northern hemisphere.

Young visitors love exploring the large-scale playgrounds installed inside and outside the gallery while parents and carers take a walk through 150 years of playground design.

Before we bid farewell to The Playground Project Melbourne on October 12, we’re extending gallery opening hours to welcome even more visitors.

From Saturday 20 September to Sunday 5 October, Incinerator Gallery will open Wednesday-Sunday, 10am to 4pm. The gallery will close for the Grand Final Public Holiday.

Attendees over the school break will be among the first to see the brand-new First Nations playable sculpture by Edwina Green, commissioned by Moonee Valley as part of The Playground Project Melbourne celebrations.

Bookings are essential. Children 12 and under enter for free when accompanied by an adult (maximum three children per adult).

Incinerator Gallery is located at 180 Holmes Rd, Aberfeldie.
