My Aged Care pop-ups extended!

Support to register for My Aged Care extended to 15 June!
Do you need support to register with My Aged Care? Meet Moonee Valley Council’s friendly Aged Care Navigation Officer at regular pop-up sessions at Moonee Valley libraries until Thursday 15 June 2023.
What is My Aged Care?
My Aged Care is your starting point to access government-funded aged care services. This helps you find out what types of care are available, apply for an assessment, find service providers and get the support you need to remain active and independent in the community.
Who is My Aged Care for?
Anyone aged 65 or older can register for this service. This includes Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples and/or people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness aged 50 and older. The support is tailored to individual needs.
Why should I sign up for My Aged Care?
You will need to be registered with My Aged Care so you can access services such as home help, support with showering and dressing and assistance with shopping, as well as meals delivered to your home. Council also offers fun and engaging social and exercise programs, community transport services, plus more to help you live your best life.
How does the officer help?
Our officer can talk with you about what you need to do and begin the registration process on the spot. It’s always easier to work through things together and our officer understands how to navigate My Aged Care and explain the process to you.
We can help in your language
If you need assistance in your language, our officer can organise an appointment to help you sign up.
