Council Plan and Annual Report
The Council Plan is a medium-term plan that sets out our strategic direction and focus for what we aim to achieve during the four-year Council term.
Council Plan 2017-21 (integrating the health plan)
The Council Plan 2017-21 was formally endorsed and adopted by Council at its meeting on 27 June 2017.
Each year we reflect on the progress of our current Council Plan and make any necessary adjustments.
The Council Plan 2017-21 (Year 2 update) was adopted by Council at its meeting on Tuesday, 9 October 2018.
The financial and non-financial resources required to achieve our objectives for the next four years are set out in the Strategic Resource Plan 2020 - 23 (pdf, 157KB).
We monitor and report on our progress on implementing the Council Plan through our Annual Report and quarterly reports (see below).
Current Council Plan
Council Plan 2017-21 (Year 2 update):
The Local Government Act 1989 requires all Victorian councils to prepare an Annual Report each financial year.
The purpose of the Annual Report is to:
- report on our performance against delivering the objectives of the Council Plan
- report on the strategies and activities implemented to meet these objectives
- highlight key achievements and challenges
- provide details of our financial position
The report includes copies of the Performance Statement and Financial Statement which are audited by the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office. The report is prepared in accordance with the Local Government Act 1989 and the Local Government Reporting Performance Framework (LGPRF).
The Victorian Government established the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework (LGPRF) in 2014 to ensure that all councils measure and report on their performance in a consistent way.
