Fraud and Corruption

Council is committed to protecting its revenue, expenditure and assets from any attempt by members of the public, contractors, agents, intermediaries, volunteers, Councillors or its own employees to gain financial or other benefits by deceit, bias or dishonest conduct.

Council is committed to the highest level of ethical conduct and integrity and to protecting its revenue, expenditure and property from fraud and corruption. All staff, Councillors, volunteers and contractors are required to act with integrity at all times and refrain from fraudulent or corrupt conduct.

Council is committed to integrity in all its operations and all allegations will be regarded as extremely serious.  Council's Public Interest Disclosure Guidelines have been prepared in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2012 and provide a full definition of what constitutes improper conduct, protections for disclosers and how to make a disclosure.
