The Climate Ready event brings together expert speakers and practical tips to help people prepare for extreme heat events.

The impacts of climate change are already being experienced with warmer than average temperatures, rising sea levels, and extreme weather events.

Join us for a special climate change event to learn all about how these impacts affect our health and homes and what you can do to prepare. Speakers from the Bureau of Meteorology, Department of Health and Renew will discuss;

  • Climate science and the weather – Catherine Ganter, Senior Climatologist, Bureau of Meteorology
  • The impacts of climate change on human health – Dr Angie Bone, Deputy Chief Health Officer, Department of Health
  • Tips on making your home climate-resilient, Andrew Reddaway, Energy Analyst, Renew

Moonee Valley City Council acknowledges the climate emergency and is delivering this event to foster community resilience to climate impacts.
