Myki upgrades make travel more convenient

Myki reader upgrade

If you travel on public transport across Moonee Valley, you might have noticed some new-look ticket reading machines at your local train station.

They are an important milestone in Public Transport Victoria’s improvements to the public transport ticket system in Victoria.

New ticket readers are now being installed on the Upfield, Craigieburn and Seymour lines in the next month, in preparation for contactless payment in early 2026.

Until then, passengers should continue to use their myki card, Mobile myki and V/Line tickets.
