Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2025 in Moonee Valley

This year’s National NAIDOC Week marks 50 years of the week-long celebrations.
Held across the country from 6-13 July 2025, NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate the rich and diverse culture, history and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
We will honour the enduring strength of First Peoples culture with a number of events across Moonee Valley celebrating this year’s theme—The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.
This year’s theme celebrates not only the achievements of the past, but also the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of young leaders, the vision of communities, and the legacies of ancestors.
As we commemorate the 50-year legacy of NAIDOC Week, we look forward and honour the next generation who will carry the torch.
This year’s events include three culturally inspiring celebrations of our First Peoples.
