If you’re looking for ways yourself or a young one can get involved in physical activity, look no further than our bike workshops! Whether you’re an adult looking to rediscover the joy of bike riding, or a parent looking for a fun school holidays activity -we’ve got you covered.
For the adults
Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned bike rider, you will be sure to find some joy in these adult bike workshops. If you’re new to cycling, be sure to book in and begin a journey of confidence, freedom, and endless fun on two wheels. If this isn’t your first spin around the block, we also have next level sessions running. These workshops will unlock a world of confidence and ability so you can explore the beautiful tracks of Moonee Valley and beyond. Learn more about our 3 hour sessions below.

Buckle up that helmet and book a beginner session or next level session now via our Eventbrite page. Sessions cost $10 per adult and includes morning or afternoon tea. If you do not own a bike, please let us know and we can organise one for you.
For the little ones
Your young ones will learn basic road rules and safety in a fun environment at the Essendon Traffic School. Kinder-aged children are welcome to this free session. Fruit will be provided as a snack, please bring your own water bottle. Bicycles and helmets are available at Essendon Traffic School, but you are also welcome to bring your own.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the session is to begin.
You are only required to book a ticket for the child attending, parents do not require a ticket.

For kids and tweens
Pop on those helmets, Council is hosting 3-hour cycling sessions for 9-12-year-olds in September. Children can brush up on cycling basics with other kids in an interactive, fun workshop led by a cycling expert.
The training aims to ensure participants develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to ride their bikes safely in real-world environments applicable to their skill level and experience.
One of Australia’s leaders in cycling tuition – Cycling Safe instructor Steve Taylor will lead the training. Steve holds a Working with Children Check and a First Aid qualification.
