Santa puts everyone on the nice list at Carols in the Park

WOW Moonee Valley, how good was Carols?! After two years of cancellations, our favourite night of the year came back with a bang in Queens Park.
A not so silent night in Moonee Ponds
Almost 7,000 holly jolly humans came along, which might be the biggest crowd we've ever hosted. The weather was perfect and so many people brought along their picnic blankets that Queens Park became a patchwork of friends, family and neighbours. We even had performances streaming live on a big screen in the park to make sure no one missed out. Even though our Mayor, Cr Pierce Tyson was unwell and couldn’t make it (feel better soon Mayor Tyson!), Deputy Mayor Samantha Byrne and Councillors Iser, Hodgson and Adams did an amazing job spreading festive cheer.
We love community events
We're so proud to organise events like this. A huge thanks to our wonderful events and marketing teams and to everyone who helped organise such a magical return to Christmas celebrations in our city. Thanks also to the fabulous MC, band and performers who tore up the stage and screen.
Jingle all the way
Last but certainly not least, thanks to Santa, Mrs Claus & their personal Security Elf who even brought snow with them from the North Pole, much to the excitement of a crowd of children hoping to be on the nice list this year. Don’t worry, Santa has told us that everyone who came to Carols in the Park is most definitely on the nice list this year! It won’t be long until Rudolph is on his way with the sleigh.
