Transforming the Moonee Ponds Creek with the Chain of Ponds group
Published on Friday, 30 December 2022

The Chain of Ponds group (CoP) had another great year working together with friends’ groups, local councils, water authorities, state agencies, bicycle users’ groups and artists along the Moonee Ponds Creek.
CoP highlights for 2022 include:
- Connecting communities via a new bridge between Essendon and Brunswick West.
- Preparation work for the January removal of 400m of concrete along the creek as part of the Reimagining Moonee Ponds Creek project.
- Hiring our very own Litter Lead, Neil Sutton.
- Kicking off the Bandicoot Flight Path project with local schools, park rangers and our very own artist, Catherine van Wilgenburg.
- Signing an agreement to continue working together for another three years with 13 partners.
