Moonee Valley City Council is once again the only local government organisation in Australia to make a coveted list of this year’s top 101 workplaces for women.

WORK180, a global organisation that commits to raising workplace standards for all women, developed the showcase for top performing employers for women.

For what is now the fourth year in a row, Moonee Valley made it onto the respected list by exceeding standards in key areas of workplace equity.

Moonee Valley City Council Chief Executive Officer, Helen Sui, is proud that the organisation has continued to receive the accreditation.

“It’s a range of actions that support our ranking as an employer of choice for women,” Ms Sui said.

“From inclusive hiring, representative leadership, salary equity, flexible working, career development, anti-discrimination and employee safety and support – it all makes a difference.

“This accreditation aligns with our commitment to ensuring Moonee Valley is a great place to live, study and work. Council is proud to be an employer of choice that values and promotes equal employee representation and supports the journey to success for women.”

The WORK180 assessment of top workplaces is designed to recognise employers that nurture the talents of women and overcome gender discrimination and barriers by influencing change.
