What’s your community vision for Moonee Valley?

Ever wondered what your neighbourhood would look like in 2040? We’re reviewing our MV2040 Strategy and want you to be a part of it.

Earlier this year, we asked you to share your ideas for what Moonee Valley should look like in 2040. We had hundreds of responses from across our beautiful city, which painted a picture of a vibrant community.

Community vision statement

Our deliberative panel of residents across Moonee Valley collaborated to revise and review our current vision statement. This reimagined vision is based on feedback you shared on our MV2040 plan earlier in the year.

' A Thriving Community
In 2040, Moonee Valley is a vibrant and welcoming place.
Our neighbourhoods are well-planned, beautiful, accessible and well connected.
We are environmentally sustainable and embrace our green spaces.
Our diverse neighbourhoods allow all people to live locally, independently and safely; supported by an ethical Council.’

This vision tells a story of unity and collectiveness to create a better city to live, work and play in. It will also help inform the development of our long-term asset plans and financial plans.

Share your thoughts on our draft vision

What do you think of this statement for our long-term community vision? How will we achieve this vision? What do you think our priorities should be?

We want to know! Use your voice to help shape our vision, Asset Plan, and Financial Plan. Head to our Your Say page and have your say!
