Looking for work as a result of COVID-19?
Council is committed to helping local jobseekers find work, especially if you have lost your job or had your salary significantly reduced as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19).
We are delighted to be able to offer a diverse range of new positions thanks to a grant from the State Government’s Working for Victoria initiative. Working for Victoria connects workers with new opportunities that will help our community and contribute to Victoria’s ability to respond to the pandemic.
The initiative will create more than 60 full time equivalent jobs at Council and will contribute directly to the local economy.
The creation of these new positions will see our workforce expand by 15 per cent for the duration of the six-month scheme. It’s an opportunity for us to implement new projects, deliver even better services and beautify our suburbs.
Each new employee’s role is clearly defined and is designed to guide the community through the many present challenges and also to assist during recovery.
