Our Planning and Building Counter is closing to walk-ins and we are welcoming a new Talk to a Building Surveyor appointment service.

Our new, appointment-based system means we can prepare to provide you with timely and accurate advice. From 12 February 2026, visit Building permits page to make a free, 10-minute appointment to speak with a Building Surveyor, either in person or via video chat, for general building advice.
