In-home services

In-home support is available for older people and people living with a disability to live independently at home and in their community.

Steps for new clients

Council provides In-home services for:

  • People 65 years and over (50 years and over if identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander) (CHSP and HCP)
  • People under 65 years and not eligible for the NDIS (under 50 years if identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander)  (HACC PYP)

To check your eligibility and to register for In-home support, please follow the steps below:

  1. Make an initial enquiry by visiting the My Aged Care website, or alternatively phone them on 1800 200 422.
  2. Once you have registered with My Aged Care you will be contacted by an accredited provider to arrange an assessment
  3. Once assessed you will be referred to an accredited service provider of your choice
  4. The service provider will then contact you to discuss the commencement of services or support
