Protect your family and stay up to date with immunisations

Moonee Valley City Council is committed to providing valuable information, resources, and services for the community to access free immunisations to protect themselves and their families.
Did you know our immunisation sessions are conducted in several locations in the municipality? Our free immunisation program is administered by full accredited and experienced nursing staff to help keep our community safe.
A whooping cough epidemic of unprecedented proportions is currently spreading through Australia. There have been 41,772 cases of the highly infectious disease in Australia. That is compared to just 2,454 cases in the entirety of 2023, and surpassing the previous record of 38,748 in 2011.
Vaccination coverage rates among children in Australia have declined for the third consecutive year.
Families are encouraged to stay up to date with immunisations, including whooping cough, HPV, meningococcal disease, influenza and measles.
If parents/carers in Moonee Valley are concerned that their children may have missed vaccines, they can contact Council to check the immunisation status of their children. Catch ups for those who missed immunisations at school are also available.
