Aged & Seniors
Weekly reunions for elderly Italian citizens to encourage social interaction, support and connection among residents
(otherwise known as Essendon Senior Italian Citizens Club Inc.) Meetings are held on Tuesdays at Kellaway Avenue Neighbourhood Centre. Luncheons with music and dancing are held at the I.C.K.A. Club, 7 Keilor Park Drive East Keilor The group offers a program of activities including luncheons, dinner dances and excursions for older Italians who would like to socialise on a regular basis.
Childcare & Kindergarten
The Caroline Chisholm Society is an accredited and registered community service, providing a broad range of supports with a focus in the specialized area of working with women and their families to promote and enhance early childhood and parenting outcomes. We work with at-risk and vulnerable families in the community by providing material aid support, ongoing practitioner support and work with the families and also helping them connect in with the community. We are one of the only organisations that works with supporting women with their pregnancy and early parenting to create safe and nurturing environments for infants and young children.

Aberfeldie Baptist provides Christian support to whoever needs it.

ACF works on promoting environmental awareness focused on the air, the water, and the places and wildlife of Australia.
Moonee Valley’s first-ever eco bulk buying group and created by residents, for residents. But if you don’t live in Moonee Valley, no stress, we’ll still welcome you with a high five, backwards low five, fist bump and a double palm slap. Our mission is simple — Lower the price of environmentally friendly products, together.
A newly formed not-for-profit organisation based in Moonee Valley with a passion for teaching kids how to become sustainable junior citizens. Our program has a two-prong effect — it empowers kids to be the change-makers in our communities through fun and interactive workshops and games whilst the take-home workshop items encourage conversation at home around how adults can be more sustainable.
Food Security
Through our partnerships with Foodbank Victoria and SecondBite, Wired For Glory Church operates a food bank from our premises. We aim is to assist the neediest and most vulnerable people who are experiencing considerable financial stress. We provide food aid to people that are facing financial hardship, which directly impacts on their ability to access food. Our community food program is essential in meeting those needs for people living within the City of Moonee Valley and surrounding areas.
Municipal Service
There are several not-for-profit, confidential meetings in Moonee Valley. Al-Anon supports the families and friends of alcoholics.
Caroline Chisholm Society supports pregnancy, children and families. We offer support from the moment a woman learns of her pregnancy to the time her youngest child goes to school. We help women achieve a safe and nurturing environment for their children.
Other
Aberfeldie Community Club provides facilities and event space for numerous local clubs. Over the past year, some 30 clubs have utilised our venue for activities ranging from club operations to meetings to special events. We are glad to support local clubs in their efforts in helping make our community an active, vibrant and healthy one.
Provides pre-loved material aid to children and families experiencing hardship. A collaboration between Big Group Hug and the Caroline Chisholm Society servicing nine LGAs in western Melbourne. Open to community donation drop off and agency request collection.

Sport & Activities
1st Strathmore Scout Group is all about being in the outdoors and it is youth lead and adult supported. Come be a Scout learn new things, make new friends, be challenged and Challenge yourself. Age groups start from 5 years old or starting Prep to Adults. Please come along and do a trial for 3 weeks. Activities: construction, abseiling, rockclimbing, all water activities, theatre, camping, hiking, cycling, First Aid, science, STEM and many more. Learn by doing and enjoy the fun and adventure. Joeys: 5-8 Yrs Thurs 5.30pm – 6.30pm Cubs: 8-11 Yrs Thurs 7.00pm – 8.30pm Scouts: 11-15 Yrs Wed 7.00pm – 9.00pm Venturers: 15-18 Yrs Thurs 7.30pm – 9.15pm Rovers: 18-25 Yrs Adults, Youth Helpers, Adults.
