The National Redress Scheme, in response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is an important initiative that holds institutions to account. In line with Council’s commitment to Child Safety a decision was made by Moonee Valley City Council to prevent institutions which choose not to participate in the Scheme from:
- Accessing Council grants;
- Using Council facilities;
- Participating in Council community events; and
- Being permitted to hand out information on Council owned or operated property.
