Any business running a prescribed accommodation premises, must follow the:

Opening a new business?
- Step 1 – To see what permits you need, complete the Business Permit Checklist.
- Step 2 - Complete the Application form.
- Step 3 – Submit your application with a floor plan of the property.
Step 3 – Your application will be assessed. - Step 5 – A progress inspection may be conducted if required.
- Step 6 – A final inspection must be conducted prior to opening.
- Step 7 – You will receive an invoice for Plans Assessment and Registration.
- Step 8 – Once paid, you will receive your Registration Certificate.
Change of ownership
As the new owner/purchaser, you need to transfer the business into your name. It is a legal requirement to have both the new and existing owners’ signatures on the application form.
- Step 1 – Complete and submit the Application form.
- Step 2 – Your application will be assigned to an Officer who will liaise with you throughout the process.
- Step 3 – You will be provided with a Registration Certificate once approved by the Officer and payment of the invoice is made.

How to appeal an Infringement
If you are issued with an infringement for a premises registered with council, you can apply to have the matter reviewed. To apply for internal review, please complete and submit an online application.
