Contract awarded for final stage of the Flemington Hub project

The final stage of the Flemington Community Hub and Debneys Park project will commence in the coming weeks.
After a competitive tender process, Council awarded the contract on Tuesday, 26 October 2021 to McCorkell Constructions to undertake the stage 3 works.
Moonee Valley Mayor Cam Nation said we are delighted to have awarded the final stage of these works to McCorkell Constructions.
“This final stage of the project will see the demolition of the existing pavilion and the construction of the new Flemington Community Hub complete with landscaping.
“We look forward to watching the development happen and seeing the Community Hub take shape,” said Cr Nation.
Stages 1 and 2 of the project involved the demolition of the Flemington Community Centre, redevelopment of the sports field, new cricket nets and new outdoor basketball/netball courts. Stage 1 has been completed, and Stage 2 is expected to be completed by mid-2022.
The project is on track for completion by mid-2023.
