Places Victoria, in partnership with Australand Property Group, has developed plans for the vacant site at 77-89 Military Road, Avondale Heights.
The application was formally advertised in early 2015 and Council made a decision to approve the application at the Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday, 26 May 2015. View the Council report.
Key features of the approved application include:
- provision for 135 dwellings
- a maximum building height of two storeys
- a range of dwelling types and sizes from one bedroom to five bedrooms
- provision for 3,000m2 of centrally located public open space
- a road network separated into two parts, with a loop road providing access through either end of the development site
In addition to the above, the approved application allows for the subdivision of the development site along with the removal of some native vegetation.
